Swimming pool
The outdoor swimming pool is located at the back of our hotel and invites you to cool off on hot summer days. Next to the swimming pool there is a beautiful, large lawn with sunbeds. The size of the swimming pool is 12x6m.
Sauna
Our sauna offer space for four people at a time and can heat up to 90° C. It invites you to relax after a long day of hiking or a strenuous day of skiing.
In Winter the sauna is daily open from 3pm until 6pm.
In summer, the sauna is available on request and for an additional fee.

How to get there
Your room will be available to you from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival
Departure
The room must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure
Car park
There is a large parking space in front of our house, available for your convenience free of charge.
Charging station for electric cars
A charging station is available right in front of our hotel. For an additional fee and upon request, you may use it to charge your electric vehicle.
Non-smoking
The entire hotel, including all rooms, is a non-smooking area.
Dogs
Dogs are permitted on request and for a fee of €12 per day (exculding food). Out of consideration for other guests, dogs are not allowed in the dining room.
Wireless internet access
Wi-Fi is available free of charge in the entire hotel.

Location & how to get there
The Hotel Iris in Wildschönau, Tyrol is easy to reach by plane, train or car. Please contact us and we will help you with planning your journey.
By car
Take the exit Wörgl Ost or Wörgl West from the motorway, then follow the B171 to the Wildschönauer Bahnhof intersection. From there follow the Wildschönauer Landesstraße to Auffach (14km). Before the Wood Museum in Auffach turn right and behind the Hotel Platzl turn right again. This road takes you directly to the Hotel Iris after about 1.5km.
By train
By train you travel to Wörgl main station. From there you can take the public bus or taxi (see below) to Wildschönau.

Shuttle Four Seasons to and from the train station
The Four Seasons shuttle service is the perfect companion for a pleasant journey to Wildschönau. The train station shuttle takes you comfortably from Wörgl to Auffach. Depending on the number of people, there are very attractive prices from €23.00 to €33.00. Please select Auffach/Wildschönau as your destination. Booking only takes about 3 minutes (at least 48 hours before arrival). If you let us know when you will arrive, we will be happy to pick you up the last part, from Auffach to Hotel Iris.

By airplane
There are three possible airports which you can use to visit us: Innsbruck (81.6km), Salzburg (136km) or Munich (158km). The onward journey to Wörgl is conveniently possible by train from all three airports. From there the bus takes you directly to Wildschönau. Of course, we can also organize an airport taxi for you.

History & your hosts
The foundation for Hotel Iris was laid in 1972 by Walter Senior and Anni.
Woodworker Walter and Anni had the dream of running their own hotel early on, which they realized through a lot of work. In 1990 the Iris was taken over by their son Walter Junior and Monika. Today's hotel Iris was created with many new ideas and a major renovation. Walter Junior and Monika's daugther Lisa is now running the Iris in the third generation, with the help of her parents and her partner Philipp.
Walter
If you don't find him in the kitchen, you'll probably find Walter on his e-bike in the summer and, of course, on the skis in the winter.
Between kitchen life and janitorial work, he brings peace and balance to the often hectic hotel and family life. He is guaranteed to have the perfect solution for every small or big challenge and is always there, when there is “fire” in the kitchen.
Monika
Monika is the heart of Hotel Iris. She always has an open ear for everyone and, thanks to her handy skills, she also has a solution for every problem. The trained tailor found her love for hospitality through Walter and when you don't find her in the service area, she's probably ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Lisa
When she isn't exploring the surrounding forests with Elli (house dog) in her free time, you can probably find her practicing yoga or in the Wildschönauer mountains.
Lisa, Walter and Monika's youngest daughter, took over her parents' business in 2022. From cooking to entertaining guests, she is involved in the business with a lot of dedication and warmth. Today, as a manager, the well-being of her guests is most important to her and she looks forward to shaping the future with new ideas and a lot of drive.
Philipp
Whether downhill biking, climbing or ski touring - Philipp feels at ease outdoors and enjoys the peace and quiet in beautiful Wildschönau.
Creative ideas and his thirst for action drive Philipp forward. How good that the craftsmanship is right there. He tries his hand at all areas of everyday hotel life and is immediately there to put new ideas into practice.
